Adjusting New Family

Everyone has done so well adjusting to the new addition to the family. Taylor has done especially well to. When she wakes up Taylor leads us to her bedroom to pick her up, and he's even gotten upset with us when he has asked to give her snuggles and we didn't understand to let him give her some!!

Alaina has done so well adjusting to life as we know it to! She is getting so much better at sleeping during night time hours, there's still some room for improvement but in comparison she's made strides in the right direction. She is also developing in terms of motor and vocal skills. She enjoys watching everyone during the day and looking at the flower stickers we put on the wall next to her changing table.

Taylor's Birthday

So I just realized that I never posted anything for Taylor's birthday .. so I thought I should get some pictures up for everyone.

Our grocery store has a special that they do for kids first birthdays where if you buy a cake they give you one 8" round for the birthday boy. Taylor was able to make a dent in the cake before he started to feel sick and asked to be "All Done!!" Once he got his presents though all was better :)

Alaina Janelle Waggener

She was born at 6:13pm on Wednesday November 2nd 2011. She ended up being bigger than Taylor to! She weighed in at 8lbs 3ozs was 21.75in long! Her head is smaller though, it's 13.25.

So far she seems to be what the nurses call a "snacker." She will eat for 5-10min and then take a 10-15min break then eat, then break, constantly for 1.5-4 hours; and then she will sleep for 3-5 hours. So it's nice to have a good break, but when she's up she's a handful for how small she is :)

Other than her eating habits she seems to be a very easy baby, just like Taylor. She has been the quietest baby in the hospital the whole time we have been here!

Sleepy Mister

Taylor has been so cute when he's sleeping and I thought you all would like to see. He's even taken to pulling his blanket over himself and using it as a blanket :)

Just for Fun

Thought I would get some more pictures out there for you guys :) Also as of yesterday, he can officially stand for a few seconds unsupported!! Oh how they grow!

He absolutely loves to watch the washing machine. He will sit there for several minutes at a time completely silent :) I'm starting to think that I should do laundry more often (he he he)

Just an Update

Believe it or not, this is a big smile from Taylor. He gets really excited and scrunches his nose and opens his mouth wide, even moreso than this most times :)

More of what Taylor is doing now:

• First off (I think all you know) he is crawling, and very well!


• He likes to pull himself up onto anything that will hold him.


• He loves to dance/bounce to music


• He gives lots of kisses and "snuggles" (he puts his forehead against yours), but he does give real snuggles sometimes to :)


• He enjoys his bath! He gets really excited when he hears the bath turn on that he "runs" to the bathroom and climbs up on the edge and bounces and squeals with delight :)


• Lately he has really enjoyed yelling. He sits up and puffs out his chest, scrunches in his chin and contorts his face and yells as best he can :)


• He also likes to "fake" crawl. He gets on his hands and knees and kicks his feet out from under himself repeatedly.


• He loves our cat! He will go out of his way to give the cat kisses!


• He loves to play with his two kickballs and put them into something and then take them out . . . and repeat

He has been a real joy to watch grow and learn! I'm excited to see what he gets into next.

Easter

For Easter we went over to Dan and Maree's. We did some egg hunting, made devil eggs, and had some good food. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

First Grass Experience

We took Taylor outside in early April and put him in the grass to see what he thought. He really wasn't sure about it. At first he thought it was going to be really fun and started to come to us with a big smile, til his hands hit the grass and he gave us these looks :)

Playing with the "Puppies"

Taylor loves our "Puppies!" When he sees them he talks to them cause he wants them to come over and say hi. They are such good sports to! Taylor will grab their ears, eyes, nose, and pull fur out and they'll turn and give Taylor a kiss :) But Taylor loves to give them kisses to.
